Hermine Wilson is known as "the curvy girl's skinny advocate." Inspired to produce an annual pageant geared towards the plus size market, she founded Modern Pageant Productions. Ms. Wilson has the professional experience of working as an international model for 10 years, and has judged numerous pageants and model competitions. Hermine will bring sophisticated concepts to the curvy girl market, starving for fashion opportunities.
This under-served market has huge growth and marketing potential. Plus size market consumption is predicted to be a whopping $48B business in 2010.

Modern Pageant Productions will inform, motivate, and guide Pluscious™ women to adopt healthy lifestyles that still reflect their cultural backgrounds. Through health education, they will improve both how they look and feel. Pageant participants will become community health ambassadors, spreading the healthy message to their family, friends and communities.

Miss.Ms.Mrs.Classic Pluscious™ Miami
Miss Pluscious Miami seeks Florida's vivacious full-figured women, who lovingly accept their curves to participate in our upcoming annual pageant. You must be between the ages of 18 and 60, single, married with kids or divorced, to enter this AWESOME pageant.
All pageant contestants are encouraged to support a local charity during the competition.
Pluscious™ Beauty Queens use words and actions to promote pride in their curvy bodies, positive values, and appreciation for their enhanced role in their families, relationships and communities.

Female candidates are invited to participate in the 2009 Miss Pluscious™ Miami Pageant. One Queen will be chosen for each separate category and she must be available to participate in selected community events throughout the year. Each of the four queens will represent the title for one year and must be available to fill her obligation. Winners will receive a crown, banner, trips and much more.
Entry Deadline: TBA.
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen, born female between the ages of Miss 18-29, Ms. 30-39, Mrs. 40-49 years, Classic 50-60 years. One queen and two runner-ups will be chosen per age category.
She must be of good health and moral character.
Judging will take place in a talent performance, trendy casual wear, and formal evening gown. More details will be given at orientation.
Each entrant must attend all modeling and runway practice sessions, public speaking practice, as well as participate in workshops providing image makeover techniques, in order to present the best possible image for the pageant.
Candidates must agree that the time, manner and method of producing this pageant shall depend solely on the discretion of the pageant director. The Judges' decision will be final.
Entrants must agree to abide by the pageant rules and each person must agree to full cooperation and responsible participation in scheduled events related with the pageant.
Good sportsmanship is required. If any bad sportsmanship and/or FOUL LANGUAGE is used, the entrant will be asked to leave the competition without a refund.
Prizes will be offered in addition to appearances on the official pageant website. This does not promise a modeling contract.
